6 gift ideas for the men in your life
If you’re anything like us then you have no problem buying gifts for the women in your life. They are either really clear about what they want or there are many, many gifting options to choose from.
Things are a little different when it comes to buying gifts for men.
There are a lot fewer gifting options for men and it can be hard to find items that aren’t designed specifically for dads. These can be great gifts once or twice, but then they just become junk that sits in their house.
If you’re looking for gift ideas that will improve the lives of the men you know, then you have come to the right place.
#1 – Upgrade an everyday experience
This idea is pretty simple, take something they do every day and enjoy, then make it better.
For example, if your friend has a cup of coffee before work every day, but he drinks instant coffee – buy him a gift set of really nice grounds or you could take it further and get him a coffee machine.
Or, if your friend is always complaining about how uncomfortable their office chair is, buy them a new one that is designed to be ergonomic.
These types of gifts are practical and you know they will love them.
#2 – A subscription box
We are living in the golden age of subscription boxes. A few years ago you would have struggled to find any subscription boxes for men, but things are very different now.
You will be able to find a subscription box to suit any and every man in your life. Whether they like jerky, socks, working out, or loose leaf tea.
In fact, there are so many awesome subscription boxes out there that you’ll struggle to narrow it down to one. There are subscription services that will post the world’s best bacon to your home. What more could any man want?
#3 – A new signature scent
If you know a man who is never willing to spend money on nice things for himself, why not buy him a nice aftershave.
Aftershave is a gift that everyone can appreciate and it can be worn in nearly every situation. So you know they will get a lot of use out of it.
You can either go for one full-sized bottle or get them a gift set containing samples of a few scents. Then you can find out which one they loved the most and get that for them in full size at their next birthday or Christmas.
#4 – A Masterclass or Skillshare subscription
This is the perfect gift for any man that loves to learn and get better at their hobbies. Buy them a subscription to one of the online learning platforms.
They normally cost around the same price as Netflix, but instead of binge-watching The Witcher, your friend can learn how to write a novel, cook the perfect steak, or learn a skill that will improve their job prospects.
There are many learning subscriptions out there, our two favorites are Masterclass and Skillshare. You will be amazed by the caliber of people that both services are able to get to teach their classes.
#5 – An experience
Option number 5, buy the man an experience.
Does he love whiskey? Buy him a distillery tour followed by a tasting session. Does he love cars? Buy him a day at a NASCAR track. If he loves music, buy him tickets to see his favorite band live. If he is an adrenaline junky, get him a white water rafting trip.
There are thousands of day experience packages you can buy online.
Or you can design your own. Why not take them on a coffee shop crawl around their favorite city? Complete with a notebook to fill with your reviews, polaroid snaps, and other memories from your day.
#6 – A weighted blanket
Our final gift idea is a weighted blanket. As someone who was given a weighted blanket, we can confirm that they are great gifts to receive.
This gift is perfect for anyone who struggles with anxiety, struggles with sleeping, or just likes to be really cozy.
Weighted blankets help to reduce panic levels and can help the user get into REM sleep more easily. Some people have even claimed they help to reduce snoring (which makes it a gift for the man and their partner!).
Alternatively, you could purchase them a heated blanket if they are always cold.
