Here is How to Hang a Tapestry: 6 Ways to Hang a Tapestry:
Step 1: Prepare the Tapestry
Once you have your custom tapestry and stand ready, determine where you want to hang it. If using a custom tapestry pole for hanging is not already attached to the back of your custom tapestry, this is the time to attach them. You may want to use a level or ruler as a reference.
Step 2: Decide on Mounting Hardware
For smaller custom tapestries, you can simply pull open the loops at either end of our corded ties. We recommend first finding which side of the pole will be dominant when hung (likely one that has more weight). This dominant side should be attached to the wall in a manner that provides support for the tapestry.
For larger custom tapestries, a custom tapestry rod is recommended. Larger custom tapestry rods can hold heavier custom tapestries and provide a more polished look. With custom tapestry poles you have the option of either mounting them directly into your drywall or mounting them into an anchor that will attach into the studs in your wall. We recommend using both a center bracket and an off-center bracket. The rule when hanging custom tapestries from custom rods is to have 2x the length of thread for each foot of height up to 6 feet tall (for example: a 12″ tall custom tapestry should be mounted on custom tapestry rods that are at least 24″ long). The custom rod should be mounted into the wall low enough to provide adequate room for hanging and where it won’t create a trip hazard.
Step 3: Hang Your Custom Tapestry
Once you have determined how best to mount your custom tapestry, refer to this chart for specific instructions on how to hang large custom tapestries depending on each custom tapestry’s length and design. (NOTE: All of these methods can be applied to smaller custom tapestries as well.) Some of these include:
Mounting directly into drywall or studs with center and/or off-center brackets
Mounting directly into concrete or cinder blocks

2). If you are using custom racks or wall racks there are two options depending on how much weight is being held by each rack. Option 1: if the bottom of the custom rack will attach directly into studs in your wall, drill through each bracket hole and use drywall anchors to secure it into the studs. Option 2: for added strength between shelves and brackets we recommend choosing heavy duty toggle bolts (you may purchase these from an auto parts store) that can go through both sides of the custom rack and into your wall.
