That’s why we’ve put together this list of five destinations that will were cool in 2021! Our picks cover all sorts of types-from cities with rich history and culture to some of the world’s best beaches and some off-the-beaten-track locations. The only question is—which one will you choose first?
What is a Bucket List
A bucket list is a compilation of desired experiences compiled by an individual, typically written after the age of 40. The term derives from the saying “kicking the bucket,” meaning one’s death.
Where did the Idea for Bucket Lists come From?
One theory about their origin suggests that ‘bucket lists’ are constantly evolving because people are constantly refiltering their visions while others believe it was an idea made up to fill empty space in newspapers during hard economic times.
Since they are constantly evolving, there has been no specific start date for this activity or trends have been observed-most are made with some sort of input from another person even if never written down formally on paper
The top 6 destinations you should visit in 2021
The top five destinations you should visit in 2021 might be difficult to predict-especially since one of the most talked-about topics this year has been climate change. But, if you want to find the coolest places to visit in 2021, take a look at these five potentially awesome destinations!
Cape Town, South Africa
Cape Town is a spectacularly beautiful city that’s worth visiting, regardless of what’s happening in the rest of the world. The city has incredible natural beauty-from Table Mountain to miles of pristine white sand beaches, you’re guaranteed to have a good time. And with its rich history and culture, you’ll also enjoy learning about the past while relaxing in what is literally one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Cape Town has always been a hot spot for backpackers and travelers alike.
US Gulf Coast
My favorite place to travel in 2021 was the US Gulf Coast, Florida Panhandle. The area features amazing emerald water, abundant fresh seafood, fun adventure activities, and the world’s most beautiful beaches. I enjoyed a JetSki tour with dolphins playing with me, kayaking at night with a neon lit kayak, lunches with my feet in the world’s softest sand, and gorgeous US coastal scenic drives.
Thanks to Charles McCool from McCool Travel for giving us the information about the US Gulf Coast.
Dubai
Dubai is a family-friendly destination where travelers can discover something new and exciting time and time again. We went on a desert safari with Platinum Heritage, visited the Burj Al Arab on an Inside Burj Al Arab tour, watched the sunrise from the Burj Khalifa, saw the Dubai fountain show from the boardwalk, sauntered the souks, had a great time in Aquaventure and watched the sunset from the recent Ain Dubai Ferris wheel. The long-awaited World Expo, an ode to innovation, made for a phenomenal bonus.
Appropriate COVID-measures are in place in Dubai but these still allow visitors to effortlessly enjoy the abundance of activities in all safety. The high level of service, the luxurious hotels with their gorgeous pools, the punctual transportation, and the sheer variety of food options make this a truly carefree destination.
Helsinki, Finland
Helsinki is a city in Finland and like the rest of the country, it’s home to some of the most breathtaking and natural beauty in all of Europe. But while Helsinki is a popular destination for tourists and travelers alike, it has a rich history too-both politically and culturally. It’s also known for having some of the best nightlife you’ll find on this side of the world, with everything from music bars to happening nightclubs.
Bali
The island of Beauty, Bali is the perfect and cheapest travel destination on the east side of the globe. From relaxing spas, pristine beaches to happening nightclubs, Bali has the perfect mixture to be the premium holiday gateway. Since I’ve been a surfing enthusiast, I enjoyed surfing and other water sports on the beaches of Ubud, the cultural capital of Bali.
This low-cost travel destination won’t cost more than $80-100 a day if you’re looking for decent accommodation and 3-meals per day! Costs can go up according to your preferences.

Wales, UK
If you want to experience an off-the-beaten-track destination that still feels like home, Wales might be just what you’ve been looking for! Most people who’ve traveled here rave about how beautiful and welcoming it is. You can enjoy
Helsinki is up and coming as a great place to travel and they offer amazing natural sights and rich history.
How to plan for your next trip?
Decide where you want to go, what time of year to plan your trip, and how long you want it to be.
Most people aim for trips that are under two weeks in length. If that’s not doable or you’re looking for an even more intense experience, there are companies now offering trips as short as one day!
Make sure you know if the location involves trekking through mountains or jungles, will require outdoor activities like rock climbing or rafting (depending on where), has any religious holidays occurring, is likely to have religious unrest during certain seasons–or all three at once! Plan your adventure wisely so your memories last longer than just a selfie with a smudgy background.
What Are some good advice to give about travel in 2021?
Don’t bring too much stuff!
Even if you’re traveling for a long time, even if you’re traveling with kids, even if you’re not sure what life will throw your way – don’t bring too much stuff!
Pare it back to just the essentials, and trust yourself that you can make-do in any situation. You’ll find you’re much more spontaneous and adventurous when you’re not lugging around all that baggage. You’ll save enough on checked baggage fees to more than pay for anything you might need to buy on along the way.
Trust me, I went on a 3-month backpacking trip with two little kids and only carry-on luggage, you can do it too!

Find a place you like and stay there
There is always some sort of push when travelling to hit all the spots and fit in as many destinations as possible. I have found finding one place you enjoy and really settling in to be very rewarding. You get to know the area and if given enough time you can settle into the lifestyle of a local instead of a traveller. As a bonus it’s cheaper too as you know all the grocery store locations, travel less, can book some discounted long term stays.
When I was travelling solo I wouldn’t move more than once a week. Now that I’m travelling with kids I won’t move more than once a month. Kids take a while to settle into a place and they come with quite a bit of extra luggage too.

Consider The New Things
When you’re abroad, consider doing things that you’re going to be proud of after finishing. For instance, places like Mount Kilimanjaro, a dormant volcano in Tanzania. It’s considered the highest mountain in Africa. When you’re there, don’t be afraid to climb! Nowadays, around 30 thousand people climb every year!
The Bottom Line
It’s never too early to start planning for your next adventure. Whether you’re looking to plan a hiking trip in the mountains or lounging on the beach, there are plenty of destinations that will be perfect for 2021! We hope this list has given you some ideas and inspiration about where to go over the course of the next year.
