In females, pelvic pain can be experienced due to many reasons. It may not signify an underlying condition but it should be monitored and treated well. Due to this pain, a female is unable to perform certain tasks in her daily life. One of the reasons why it is important to know about the causes of this pain is that the doctor will offer suitable treatment for pelvic pain in Colonia. Some of the major reasons for this pain are mentioned below:

    Miscarriages and pregnancy loss

In females during pregnancy, pelvic pain is normal because the baby starts to grow. However, if the pain persists and worsens with time, it is the early sign of a miscarriage. Many females lose their babies in the first trimester. This is one of the reasons for pelvic pain. You must immediately get in touch with your gynecologist if you experience this pain during pregnancy.

    Menstrual cycle

It is one of the common causes of pelvic pain. The cramps and pain during periods are experienced by all females. It has been observed that the female gets this pain during the first or second day of the period and gradually settles down in subsequent days. However, if the pain is accompanying heavy bleeding and clots, it is time to see your gynecologist.  He or she will recommend an ultrasound to rule out any possibility of fibroids or other complications.

    Constipation and other intestinal problems

Sometimes, pelvic pain occurs due to constipation if the lower colon is affected by this condition. After the stomach settles down, this pain may go away. Other intestinal problems that can cause pelvic pain include ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, and diverticulitis.

    Pelvic inflammatory diseases (PID)

This infection occurs in the reproductive structure of a female. The main reason for this infection is sexually transmitted diseases. It can cause pain in the lower back, pelvic area, and even changes in menstrual periods. Sometimes, the female experiences unusual discharges from the vagina.

    Urine infections or UTI

It has been observed that if the person has urine infections or urinary tract infections, he or she may experience pain in the lower abdomen and burning pain during urination. This condition also results in cramps and pelvic pain for a long time. Taking probiotics for yeast infections is very beneficial in dealing with vaginal infections.

Depending on the medical condition, your doctor will be able to offer the best treatment. If you experience pain for more than a couple of days, you should contact your doctor immediately.
