The “Got Milk?” advertisements in between 1990s and early 2000s are well-remembered by all. Everyone pushed us to drink cow’s milk, from Beyonce and Britney Spears to Jennifer Aniston, all the while grinning and sporting that recognizable milk moustache.

These advertisements, which were put out by the Milk Processor Education Program, promoted cow’s milk as being vital to our wellbeing. It was meant to be brimming with the minerals and vitamins our bodies required to become strong and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Every meal was typically accompanied by a glass of milk while I was growing up. As a treat at the end of the day, I would pour it over cereal and dunk chocolate chip cookies in it. Ah, the pleasures of simplicity!

Now, however, a lot of individuals are beginning to cut back on their consumption of cow’s milk and question its health benefits. Numerous factors support this, such as the industry’s handling of dairy cows and its reported effects on allergies, lactose intolerance, inflammation, and allergies.

Are you tempted to use ALT Co. oat milk Online instead of ordinary dairy milk? Wait a second. Like with most natural food trends, it is imperative to do some research before jumping on board. As we’ve seen with recent diet trends (looking at you, a low-fat diet), what might seem to be the healthier option could not be.

    1. Vegan and free of nuts, lactose, and soy

For anyone with certain dietary limitations, oat milk is a sensible choice. It has no nuts, soy, or lactose and is vegan because it is made from oats and water. Oats normally lack gluten, but if they are processed along with other cereals like wheat, barley, etc., they sometimes do.

If you want oat milk that is guaranteed to be free of gluten, make sure the product you’ve chosen is manufactured with oats that have received the necessary certification. As an alternative, you can prepare homemade oat milk with oats that have been verified to be gluten-free.

    2. Reduces bad cholesterol

B-glucan, a kind of dietary fiber found in oats, has been shown to help maintain and raise heart health. The benefits of beta-glucan and their impact on those with slightly high blood pressure were the subjects of one study. According to this study, beta-glucan attaches to cholesterol and prevents the stomach from absorbing it. Even though it doesn’t contain whole oats, oat milk still has a large quantity of beta-glucan in it—Approx 0.4g per 100g in oat milk packets.

    3. Positive Effects on Bone Health

Who knew oat milk might help you maintain strong bones? It’s accurate! Strong bones can be facilitated by consuming fortified, store-bought oat milk with additional calcium and vitamin D.

Why are vitamin D and calcium both present in fortified oat milk? Calcium absorption depends on vitamin D. The hormone calcitriol, which is necessary for humans to absorb calcium from the food we eat in our stomachs, cannot be produced if we don’t have enough vitamin D.

Does Oat Milk Help You Lose Weight?

Anyone today who isn’t interested in losing weight? Even though drinking oat milk won’t help you lose weight on its own, combining it with a nutritious diet and a cup of unsweetened milk will help you meet your nutritional needs.

Oat milk is a great option for those who keep calorie records. ALT Co. Oat milk provides only about 130 Approx. calories per cup. In addition to having few calories, it is also low in fat, sugar, and protein (at least for unsweetened kinds). People who live a healthier life and require a dairy or nut-free milk alternative should consider this as a particularly good option.
